I spent a chunk of  time watching my cat through a camera lens….watching……watching…..positioned exactly right….waiting for something cute to happen.

And it usually did — as soon as I finally gave up and put the camera down.

Trying my hand at some abstract photography, the first shot captures the fun of the Ferris wheel at Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles; the second shot is of the Merry-Go-Round at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto.

Candy floss, candy apples and caramel corn….oh, the sweet gluttony of it all. LOVE it.

And finally, I absolutely LOVE…

I absolutely LOVED it!  As some of you may know, I don’t give a hoot (or a holler) about sports — except when the stakes are high.

I do, however, have an exceptional appreciation of historic events — big or small –especially when they unfold outside my door.
